Boy + Girl = Farm?

How do two kids in the city end up with a crazy life on a farm? Let me tell you a little story…

If you give a woman a good man to love, she’s going to ask to be a mom. And when she’s given a baby, she’s going to want the biggest and best life for their baby. Her world will be perfect and completely upside down simultaneously.

While she is seeking the biggest and best life for their child, a more organic lifestyle will feel non-negotiable. She might even start homeschooling and want to make it fun, so she’ll buy chickens and plant a garden. She’ll learn to cook real meals at home. She’ll make bread, cheese and kombucha.

She’ll need a bigger kitchen table. So Dad will buy tools and learn to build. He’ll build her garden beds, and strawberry planters and a big, big kitchen table. More room at the table will mean more room for more babies. If there are more babies, one of them might have tummy troubles and Mom will make everyone start drinking goats milk.

She’ll probably ask Dad to buy her a farm so that she can milk her own goats. Dad will move the family to a tiny farm in the forest. He’ll build another table, a chicken coup and book shelves. They’ll read lots of books. Reading all of these books and living on a tiny farm will make Mom realize they need to raise their own meat. Dad will have to buy pigs and build shelters.

As the babies watch Mom & Dad try new things, they’ll want to try things too! Their sweet girl might want to become a beekeeper. She’ll take a class. Dad will buy bees (and equipment-so much equipment). If their girl becomes a beekeeper their boy will want to be a farmer. Dad will have to buy him a calf.

The family will harvest honey, meat, vegetables and milk. They’ll make more bread, more cheese and even soap! They will enjoy the fruit of their labor and count their blessings wrapped around their big, big table. Counting her blessings will remind the woman just how much she loves her man. And chances are if you give a woman a good man to love…
